The surface-street route is the one to take right now.
Take Roselle Road north out of Schaumburg through Hoffman Estates and into Palatine, continuing north as Quentin Road. Follow Quentin to Lake Cook Road, then turn east to 151 East Lake Cook Road. No expressway, no work zone.
IL-53 north ends at Lake Cook Road, a short hop west of the dealership. It is the shorter line on a map, but see the note below before choosing it.
Heads up on IL-53: IDOT is reconstructing the corridor between Kirchoff Road and Rand Road — the exact stretch between Schaumburg and Lake Cook Road — with work on that segment scheduled into late 2026. Lane shifts and ramp closures are in effect and IDOT is advising drivers to consider alternate routes, so Roselle Road is the better bet for now.
